introduction
After an epic coast-to-coast tour across Canada in 2017 of 6.034 km, TOZ was ready for a new challenge. Alone with just a bike and a trailer he faced all kinds of challenges crossing Europe.
The singer & songwriter TOZ Antonio Piretti biked for 6.125 km across 16 countries throughout Europe, playing concerts along the way presenting his new album “Three” and strengthening the spirit of unity and collaboration.
“Not Only A Currency” is not a political message, it is a personal vision: “19 countries are using the same currency, but are we really united? Common roots, a past of fights but of relationships too, I feel that we could collaborate better together with a stronger European sense of belonging. Being abroad for a long period, I had the opportunity to live and experience that as Europeans we have deeper roots than we think. Respecting and enhancing the individual differences we should have a more collaborative and constructive mutual approach, seeking true brotherhood for a brighter future for all of us. Should we wait to see on a TV screen an Official European soccer team to feel us as Europeans, or can we just start before that day?”
Why a music tour by bicycle?

TOZ‘s approach as a songwriter is natural and down-to-earth. Not only how he is presenting his music, voice & guitar but how he is travelling and connecting with people, playing concerts along the way in all kind of places and exploring the regions and their diversity in a more profound way, in a natural human pace, on a bike.

Schedule: a total of 16 countries; Germany (14 - 21 June), Netherlands (22 June), Belgium (23 - 27 June), Luxembourg (28 - 29 June), France (30 June - 13 July), Spain (14 - 26 July), Portugal (27 July - 3 August), Germany (21 August), Finland (22 - 23 August), Estonia (24 - 25 August), Latvia (26 - 27 August), Lithuania (28 August - 30 August), Austria (31 August - 1 September), Slovakia (2 September), Austria (3 - 4 September), Slovenia (5 - 7 September), Italy (8 - 15 September), Greece (17 - 22 September), Italy (2 - 4 October)
Music: the new album “Three” consists of eight songs written by Toz in English, with pop-rock vibes
Concerts: the live events were planned according to the rules restrictions of each country caused by the virus pandemic. There were public events, house events, and street events. Toz's intention is to share his music & messages however and wherever it is possible, with public or private concerts
Biking: an average of 84 km per day.
Travel: In the original "Plan A" his wife and little daughter should have accompanied him with a camper, but since a new son was expected for the middle of August, in the new "Plan B" (that took place since the pandemic virus and the consequent postponement of the original tour planned for April to July) he had to go alone with his bike and a trailer in which to carry all his musical equipment and belongings (global weight including himself is around 150 kg)
Team: his wife Maybritt managed and coordinated the schedule of the concerts and the overnight hospitality
